As members of the fast growing technology country, our education, intelligence and professionalism are being challenged in terms of career advances and skills set. Although the government had widely advertised the vocational skill training schools as early as 10 years ago, the Chinese in our country has not yet broken through their psychological barriers. They are still getting cold feet towards attending those types of school. In all the industries, especially in automobile, Chinese are still practicing the “teacher and student” or “master and learner” methodology. Not only that this method prohibits them from appreciating their self-value, it also causes them to lose the ability to compete with the outside world due to lack of professional knowledge and qualifications.
Current situation is placing this group of people at a disadvantage position. To them, promotion and salary increment are almost unrealizable.
Today, advanced technology is inseparable from our lives. A mechanic cannot endure in the automobile industry simply by relying on knowledge learned from words of mouth, nor can he depend merely on working experience. The main solution is to improve the technological knowledge and also skills of automobile mechanics, which enable them to stay in this industry with exceptional skills, and to approach the global career opportunities with their international certifications.

Automobile repair was classified as a blue-collar job in the past. However, in advanced countries, automobile maintenance is a multi-dimensional profession. It is a combination of knowledge and skills, from the basics of repair, packaging and design, to inventing a uniquely branded product. This profession plays a vital role in the industrial development of a country. Similarly, the ultimate goals of our country in the automobile industry are to invent local branded products, cultivate professional mechanics and engineers and create sufficient experts in the automobile and transportation industries.
