PENANG: The Children’s Protection Society (CPS) of Penang today received a RM12,888.80 donation from the final semester Public Relations and Advertising students of Han Chiang College to help upkeep the home for children.
Han Chiang College Principal/CEO, Dr Wang Yoon Yah presented the cheque to CPS representative, Ms G Ssuria.
The funds were raised through several events organised by the students and the generous contributions of sponsors. The events included among others, sale of balloons, handprint donation and Colour A Life Fusion Bazaar. The Colour A Life Fusion Bazaar which was held from July 9-10 at Han Chiang Indoor Stadium received very good response from the public.
The Colour A Life Fusion Bazaar was supported by Central Park, PI WIMAX, Campap, Hair Icon, Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa.
Colour A Life is a project that exemplifies the students’ commitment in supporting community service. It is a great opportunity for the students to get a taste of caring for the society and community in which they live.
Apart from instilling good values and social responsibility among students., this project also gives the public relations and advertising students hands-on experience in organising public relations programmes and campaigns.
CPS is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation catering to the needs of neglected and/or abandoned children in Penang.
